has anyone here ever bought tickets from someone off of Reddit? If so, was it safe?

That sounds very unsafe to me, dad.

I would say it's a bad idea, but it really depends. Check their profile. How old is the account? Do they appear to be from where they say they're from?

You can tell pretty quickly if it's safe or not.

If the deal is too good to be true, it's not safe.

If it's Taylor Swift, it's not safe.

If you're buying Wilco tickets, it's 99.999% safe.

My guess is whatever he's trying to buy is for face value and not some hot ticket - 99% likely to be not a fraud.

ours was for Rilo Kiley. We’d originally planned and bought tix for the Omaha show. Then my wife suggested we opt in for the Dallas show since it’s closer to us. We’d only chosen Omaha because we’d never been there before, and thought it might be fun.

long story short, we were able to get tix for Dallas without Reddit. Hopefully, we find a buyer for the other tickets.

Seeing shows in new or unfamiliar venues is always a nice buzz.

I bought tickets to a 2-day metal festival in December a while ago because Acid Bath was one of the headliners. The full lineup was just announced:

Day 1:
Blood Incantation
Chat Pile
The Red Chord
Panopticon
Castrator

Day 2:
Acid Bath
Eyehategod
Deadguy
Primitive Man
Conan
Necrofier

I think I'm just gonna see Chat Pile (for the second time this year) on day 1 and then see Acid Bath, Eyehategod, and Deadguy on day 2. Not a fan of Blood Incantation and I'm not familiar with the other bands, but I'm gonna do some listening to see if anyone else is worth checking out.

Acid Bath is maaaaaybe my favorite band of all time and Chat Pile is one the best bands in the world right now. Blood Incantation, Eyehategod, and Deadguy all have devoted followings too.

Yes, I have.

It was super easy and cool and safe. But it was also a pretty specific kind of thing. It was another season ticket holder for an event that had a different package than I had and we swapped games.

In general, I have no idea how safe it is for things like concerts or whatever. If you want to send me a PM with some more details, I can take a look as someone who deals with tickets and ticketing professionally.
