Tombs of the Blind Dead. It’s been sooooooo long since I’ve seen it. I barely remember it.

First Man.

Finally. This story belongs to cinema. Chazzelle fucking owns it. Gosling fucking owns it. Such a rich, complex, visually stunning movie.
Thank you.

Does the moon landing look as good here as when Kubrick filmed it?

Sure wish you’d run movie tourneys in 2019. Maybe by decade from the 60s through today to get to top 10s. Then top ten finishers from each decade in one winner take all nu metal whoop dee jamboree hoo. I think Raiders of the Lost Ark would win.

Watched In Bruges today; it was just brilliant. I mean, sure it was softened a bit with the memification of several key scenes but the only one that was played opposite intent was the scene in the art museum. I was so happy when I saw it as one of the options on the flight this morning. My wife was trying to sleep but I kept laughing and shaking her and the scenes on the screen were not at all helpful as to why I was laughing. I think my favorite parts were the scene when they were talking about the old lollipop man who knew karate and then the two callbacks later in the film where he punches that Canadian lady with the bottle ("Bottle!" *wham*) and when he karate chops the midget, "You don't know karate!"

Oh and "You're an inanimate fucking object!" "I apologize for calling you an inanimate object."

Now I'm going to go buy it because I can see myself watching it a few more times.
