I just... I just feel... like I'm listening to a PJ record here, not just a half-hearted attempt at one. It's good. There are obviously things that a good contingent of the fans aren't going to like here. I could take or leave Brendan O'Brien. But it just tickles me in all the right places, musically, even though it doesn't do anything I wish PJ were doing in 2013.

I think this album will be their most polarizing. It'll shake off a bunch if long term fans, gain a bunch if new fans, but it will also simultaneously baffle and give an eargasm to many of us.

Why Parasher? Ten is as washed in effects as this is, probably more. Or are you hoping the guitars would get louder?
