My son ran cross country last year for his school. He finished either dead last or basically dead last every time. We figured he hated it so imagine our surprise when he said he wanted to do it again this year. First practice he finished 5th of the entire team and the coach asked several people if he skipped part of the course. Yesterday he told me he wants to go down to his school on the weekends with me and run the four-mile trail.

I'm going to die. It was nice knowing you all.

It's OK. I had one for 6 months.

Nice big numbers. Waterproof.

Battery life isn't great. Think I went 4 or 5 runs before having to charge.

No bluetooth, so syncing is a pain in the ass.

It's pretty bulky, but I have super thin, 9-year-old girl wrists.

I ended up going to the 230, mostly because the 15 wouldn't last the duration of an ultra.

Still, $80 for a GPS running watch is insane.

Good luck not dying.

I'm running a 10K through a zoo on Sunday. Looks like it might be kind of warm?

My girls took runner up at today's Griak Invitational. Nearly 60 teams in the field. Proud coach.

Zoo 10K was fun. Watch was dead so I just ran by feel and ended up beating my last 10K time by ~7 minutes. I should do that more often.

I think I've decided to take it easy this winter and do more hiking/exploring with the wife and kids. By my estimation, I did over 3,000 miles in the last 12 months. I'm probably gonna keep it to 30 to 40 miles a week for the winter.

Kudos to you, sir. From where I'm sitting that's still a healthy number of mpw.

I've been thinking that I might go out tonight. I haven't gone out in just about exactly one month.
