Because it was a chip shot? It made more sense to actually try and rush for the first down.
some kickers prefer a certain hash regardless of what footed they are
I get that but it was a 27 yard field goal the coach should be able to bank on his kicker being a real life professional and worry about other things pertaining to winning the game.
