I can't think of a better time for PJ to release an apparently great album.

Imagine if they released Backspacer now? How would that album perform as a new album under lockdown?

My Gigaton CD arrived earlier today. Love the silvery metallic shine, the packaging setup, the overall design and use of photos throughout!!!

From the video Jeff posted, the artwork in the booklet seems reminiscent of SuperUnknown. Can anyone confirm?

Unintentional or tribute to Chris?

Finally the same band that released Ten-S/T is back! I became a fan soon after the release of S/T, and for a long time it seemed like the PJ I quickly fell in love with ended with that album. Always had trouble connecting Pearl Jam before and up to S/T with the Pearl Jam that came afterwards with BS and LB. So glad to be able to feel like the PJ I fell in love with exists in the present.

I'm still waiting for LB, according to 10c. It's apparently "Pending."

There's still hope then.

Quoted for truth.

I agree with your comments above too, that strange feeling of disconnection is definitely how I've felt about the band in the last decade or so. Even if Gigaton doesn't overtake any of the band's first five albums for me, it's reassuring to hear the band as I knew them back in action.

I guess it really was Brendan's fault.

How do we ensure B'oB stays away from this band for good? Without having to get some kind of legal block or resort to murder.

I mean, the latter isn't set in stone though.

I kind of hope the band's evident satisfaction with how this album turned out, and the positive public reception, might put a nail in the coffin of the idea of working with Brendan again.

are we sure there's been significant positive public reception?
