There are no MC compositions on this record because it doesn't fit the template of the sound and song design template Pj are trying to establish with this record.
Discuss.

Can't say until I've heard the whole thing. But I'm sure that's BO'B's excuse.

if they're aren't any MC songs, I wouldn't be surprised. He's been a bit busy lately

Well he can't be all that flashy filly overplay bit with regular pj sing formats.
Maybe they lay the smack down.
(Or maybe he wasn't even there and was off philandering with his ex band)
There's a thought:)

He wrote one, which was mentioned in an interview but then scrapped. That's one of the bitter ingredients in my bittersweet cocktail of emotions about this album.

BOB doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would be into a typical Matt song. Part of the reason Sirens does nothing for me is that it has been "arranged" by BOB.....you can't really "arrange" a Matt song unless you straight up put some Fixin all over it.

Of course not, it's just fun to have a scapegoat.
The biggest problem in Pearl Jam at this point is Eddie fucking Vedder.

There's a radio interview in which Mike says BO'B "helped him" arrange it. Bleurgh.

Basically, Matt came in with his boring acoustic chords as he "wrote" the song. Eddie came up with the cheesey lyrics and BOB frankensteined the thing in the studio....

When did he become the problem, being the front-man and centrepiece for the band for 23 years? If he was once this band's strength and now he isn't, there's no band, surely?

If there is a problem with this band at all it's that none of them give a fuck. Either they all do, or they all don't. I don't think there's any point in being picky. I'm sort of hoping this is their final album.
