Considering that Bi's claims are annecdotal, I think your study is better data than his.

Which ones are anecdotal?

The vaccine does not stop infection or transmission, so it's not vaccine vs infection, it's vaccine + infection vs infection. The reason for minors to take the vaccine is if it reduces net risk and I think the evidence we possess now puts that up for debate in a way it wasn't back 10-12 months ago.

First time in 10+ years I took the whole week off between Xmas and New Years and spent the entire time with Covid. Just stuffy/runny nose and small cough. Never had a fever or anything else.

A poignant description of a virus from 2019 that attacked the elderly/compromised and its effects on the middle-aged/healthy in 2023.

It isn’t clear that XBB is any more lethal than other variants, but its mutations enable it to evade antibodies from prior infection and vaccines as well as existing monoclonal antibody treatments. Growing evidence also suggests that repeated vaccinations may make people more susceptible to XBB and could be fueling the virus’s rapid evolution.

Maybe it's time to scale back on some of this to slow down viral evolution before it ends up like antibiotic resistant bacteria (I am aware that viruses and bacteria are different).

The article only mentions infection rate, but not rates of severe illness or death. That’s what the vaccines are designed to combat. Why is this so hard to understand?

There's still 300 Americans dying per day. Maybe that's not "above the fold" relevant, but it's definitely not "be a dick" irrelevant.

The reason there aren't more people seriously sick is that the virus itself is less lethal than it used to be. Why is it so hard to accept that selection pressures have caused the virus to evolve like literally every other virus in history? The article links to this:

https://www.cell.com/cell/pdf/S0092-867 ... owall=true
Recent BQ and XBB subvariants of
SARS-CoV-2 demonstrate dramatically
increased ability to evade neutralizing
antibodies, even those from people who
received the bivalent mRNA booster or
who are immunized and had previous
breakthrough Omicron infection.
Additionally, both BQ and XBB are
completely resistant to bebtelovimab,
meaning there are now no clinically
authorized therapeutic antibodies
effective against these circulating
variants.

The vaccines don't work anymore.

Anywho, this is the important part:
Growing evidence also suggests that repeated vaccinations may make people more susceptible to XBB and could be fueling the virus’s rapid evolution.

If repeated vaccinations are making us more susceptible to newer variants, then they should be reconsidered.

Uhhhh… tens of thousands of dead Chinese people isn't cool despite what they did to real estate prices in Vancouver.

It is so sad and funny how now people are convinced that because of the incorrect drastic measures taken by the government, which were based on leading scientific recommendations from medical experts at the time, we should no longer listen to medical experts, and just "do nothing" or whatever next time. Hindsight is definitely 20/20. Big revelation there.
