This...theyve been doing that big time since ST....I remember when i first heard ST i thought some of it reminded me of Modest Mouse and some other bands that were popular at the time..It seems they are trying to emulate todays popular artists to get back in the spotlight...Its almost like a mid life crisis....I mean theyve ripped bands off before ST but not so blatantly.......

I completely agree. Maybe if your talking about like rogers led Floyd like Mother or something on the final cut or Gilmour led Floyd in the 90s and such (which I don't really know at all) this could sound like it. Actually I take this back. This sounds nothing like Mother. Also like Pink Floyd is dark side of the moon! and meddle! and wish you were here and those albums. This song bears absolutely no resemblance to Pink Floyd when it was really Pink Floyd. I could see it maybe being like a Lady Gaga Train song though!

To me, Sirens has a little bit of a Pink Floyd influence, in that the solo sounds very Gilmour'ish. Everything else about it is more standard soft country love ballad stuff with a full bodied Vedder. I absolutely love the song by the way, and cannot wait to hear it live. I hope they extend the solo .
