I'm just suddenly remembering the line "Oh, she walks slowly across a young man's room" and suddenly there are echoes of Alive in these two songs... MFS and Sirens.

Maybe that's the story in the song, sure. I still don't get "If you choose to stay, I'll wait, I'll understand...".

Just Breathe has that too. The final line, Meet you on the other side.

And Sirens echoes a fair few lines in JB as well.

I like that the lyrics are actually open to discussion. The Backspacer songs weren't conducive to that.

Boom's solo at 2:18 is amazing!

I think hes just morbid and thinks about/worrys about dying alot. Just breathe mentions dying, the end and speed of sound both end with the narrator dying. The fixer has that verse about digging eachothers graves, swallowed whole has that bridge about death being welcome shade from life.

So Man of the Hour is a pretty great song.

For some reason this seemed like the thread to mention that in.

This song is so good. The vocals in the very beginning are amazing. Then it just builds, it is a classic. The final "if I think too much I can get over...." is a genius performance.
