As a long-term fan, Gigaton feels like the band I fell in love with has finally come back to life. I never would have thought they had it in them anymore, but here it is. It's such a gift. The waiting drove me mad!

Based on that criteria, I can only rank these 2:

Absolutely loved them both on first listen. Vs. just blew me away.

(Can't rate Ten since it was already out for over a year before I heard it.)

Initially, I remember being:

[*]slightly upset with Vitalogy (too many "filler" tracks);
[*]really disappointed with: No Code;
[*]slightly underwhelmed by: Binaural, Riot Act, Avocado
[*]indifferent/questioning what I actually liked anymore with: Backspacer, Lightning Bolt

With Gigaton, I'll need some more time to see where it'll fit. But, initial impression is very good. It really sounds like something that will stand up with time.

They tend to shuffle a bit but I can easily spot Gigaton higher than anything since Binaural. I don’t know yet if it has enough to break into the top 6 but it certainly could.

I'd reach for Gigaton over both Ten and Vs right now, but could only make that call after a year or two with these songs.

I've got to be a dozen + listens to this thing now, and i'm pretty sure this is the best thing they've released since Yield.
