90+ minute workout to start 2014. They had an one time extended cardio/core class that I followed with some upper body stuff. If nothing else I got a good sweat going and the heartrate up for a while.

Anybody else interested in joining me in this running streak thing? You decide the minimum distance. Could be just a mile. Doesn't even have to be running. Just some sort of exercise. We'll start a new thread. Anybody?

Sure, how far do you think you can push it?

I'd probably need to call a couple friends. I would steer the car.

Did about 30 minutes of weights today, but struggled with it, only did chest press, pec fly, ab crunch, curls and tri press, 3 or 4 sets of each and now i feel slightly nauseous. Not sure why today im feeling bad today, my blood sugar should be fine, we had a good healthy breakfast about 2 hours before we went, im not sure if im breathing enough though so that could be it.

10 miles in 69 minutes
Legs were tired after yesterday's run and a day at the lake with the kids. Never really felt great, but did manage a decent finishing kick. Listened to the jazz station during my run, it was kinda awesome. 35 out. 34 back. Good run.
Streak counter: 4

A friend of mine was named ultrarunner of the year by UltraRunning magazine.

Among other things, he set the new Fastest Known Time for Rim to Rim to Rim at the Grand Canyon at 6:41. He's a fucking beast. AZ represents!

I think I could be down for something of this nature. My wife asked if I would be interested in running a 5K on New Year's Day. My response was that I had never run more than two miles in my life and that made me feel fairly silly since she is training for a 50 mile ultra. I got home from work on Monday and asked myself why I hadn't run more than two miles, so I ran the 5K in my basement on the treadmill... did the same Wednesday and as longs as I get home before midnight I'll run another today.
Seeing as I wasn't a runner my previous exercise of choice was weighlifting, competitive deadlifting was my main event; so my non-running days will be hittin' the weights, body-weight exercises, etc.
I've been pulling a ton of extra hours at work so Tuesday and Thursday didn't happen, so I can't say that I started on the first as you had but I'll take today as hopefully day one. One of the best reinforcements for daily exercise is a bit of accountability, so I'd be all for a dedicated thread.

last night judging by my fit bit it had me logged in at 10.47 miles.
i would say approx 4 of those miles were from basketball. or approximately 58 trips up and down the court per game. we suck as white men.

Slept right through my usual Saturday morning workout this morning. Can't even tell the last time I skipped a Saturday. Oh well, will just have to hit it tomorrow.
