Also, Ezra didnt seem to mature too much in his exile here. They had him still as kind of a wildcard child like he was in a majority of Rebels. I think i liked that? But was hoping to see him as some sort of older Wise Jedi who's been in hiding honing his craft.

I like all of this, strat. I hope they close out Baylan's story with what he doing. I liked Ezra's attitude. I think he's been honing his craft (he didn't need no light saber!) but also he's a little loopy from spending what, 5 or 10 years with some turtle people?

He’s been away from human contact for ten years.
And narratively you need him to be a bit of the Ezra people know and love. With the goofy humour and get out of trouble into worse trouble quips.

I thought he was going to wreck shop when he said to the little fella ‘I’ll handle this’.
But he did handle it. Just not the way we wanted or expected.

As Ruddo said earlier though, I think he’s a goner. Laying it on thick these two episodes him saying ‘ can’t wait to go home’


* canonically he’s exactly the same age as Luke and Leia and born in the same day as them.

i hate dawson's portrayal. it's like she's stoned and seconds away from dozing off at all times. her weary gaze, the long drawn out pauses between dialogue. it's just not compelling acting.
