We've kind of moved on from this but I'd like to add my voice in support of Will Ferrell. Love that guy in just about anything.

I'd completely forgotten about Gere's accent! Hilarious.

Part of my disdain for Black stems from his uncanny resemblance to a former supervisor/colleague of mine.

I get that. We probably all have something similar. My old boss hates Anne Hathaway just because she looks like a girl she used to go to high school with who had terrible breath. So my boss thinks Anne Hathaway also has terrible breath and doesn't like her at all.

Also, I will say, fwiw, Jack Black is actually a really nice guy. Say whatever about his comedic style and humor and all that. He's a very genuine person; a pleasure to speak to.
