Tbh the price for the black vinyl set with the extra LP is cheaper than buying the two albums separately

But is it THAT much better, that much more noticeable than the CD?

Again, I love it. They really did a great job with the XL vinyl pressings, and they present a warm, textured listen. But if you don't love the songs, no amount of dynamic range and subtle EQ differences is gonna change that.
