It is a 25th anniversary reissue of Badmotorfinger. There's an outtake version of "Rusty Cage" up on the SG site right now with the hashtag #badmotorfinger25.

Hopefully they will be remixing it so that it doesn't sound like it was recorded inside a gigantic tin can.

Agreed. It's always been my least favorite Soundgarden album (of the original 6) and at least part of it is the awful mix.

It's very much of its time but I'm actually quite fond of the way BFM sounds. Still interested in hearing a remix but Kasper's work on King Animal doesn't fill me with confidence.

This sounds pretty damn good. Like it would if it were on Screaming Life/Fopp. BMF has some really good songs that get saddled with the production. It's just a mud pie of squish.

So I remember talking about the inevitability of them releasing a super deluxe priced around $100. Well it's even WORSE at $150! Also looks like the original is only remastered, not remixed

The album has been remixed for the blu-ray. It's a shocking price for the box-set considering the vinyl is not included.

This is a beautiful package, and has something I've been wanting for a long time (the Paramount show); that being said, I have to pass on this because of the price. Bummer. If it were Down on the Upside I'd just swallow my pride and do it, but not for this.

Saw what you did there. Nice.

Yeah, it's a lovely looking set and my fascination with buying box-sets is sorely tempting me, but it will cost me €215 ($240) to buy the box and the silver vinyl plus shipping to Ireland. Too much, man.

Having said that, in a fit of madness I may well purchase regardless....I've an eye on that JCP 7" which comes with the first 1000 pre-orders. What to do, what to do...

There should be a decent amount of demos and alternate takes. But it's hard to say - they actually recorded the album on the fly without doing much pre-production, and they weren't communicating well. Who knows.
