Well, which teams actually need a new QB? I really only think there are a handful of teams that will be desperate for a new signal caller: Cleveland, SF, and maybe Houston. Buffalo, Philly, the Rams, and the Jets may make a change if someone becomes available (Brees?) that they can't turn down. I don't think RG3 starts next year, and Kap might not either.

I think the Bills and Jets are content.

I talked to my cousin last night who was a punter in the NFL for a couple of years and held FG kicks. He said the laces thing doesn't affect the direction of a kick that short (or it shouldn't as the kicker has a "punch" kick he can do for that distance). He did say that for whatever reason, the sight of the laces freaks the kicker out though. My cousin essentially got cut by the Cardinals because he had a bad hold for Neil Rackers.

Kaep to the Rams could work. I think he might still have something in the tank. Could by dynamic if they run a read option offense like Sea or Car with Gurley back there.

"
Maybe" Houston? Did you see their wild card performance on Saturday? I'd argue that they might be the most desperate team of all for a QB.
And there needs to be a mention of the Broncos on this--there's a non-zero chance that Manning retires and Osweiler walks in free agency.

The funniest story would be RG3 to the Rams. That would be the mother of all troll jobs in the NFL by Fisher and Snead.

We gotta let AP go next year. Get some money and draft a better offense.

Yeah, when I hit "submit" that felt wrong. They made the playoffs, but it ain't like Hoyer was even in the top 5 best players on that team.
The Broncos could easily franchise Osweiler, even with the non-exclusive tags, as I don't think anyone else would offer him a bigger deal without seeing a full year out of him.

Except they're going to use that on Von Miller. And I don't think Osweiler's played well enough to justify the amount of money on the franchise tag. And they have several other key players (Wolfe/Jackson/Trevathan) hitting free agency as well while having tight cap space. 2016's going to be Elway's most challenging offseason by far.

Haha, that would be great. I think he goes to Houston though.

Freaked out by laces in? Boy kickers really are pussies!
I don't think it affected the kick here though. He had kicked at least 2 (if not all 3) with fucked up laces from much further.

Is it a foregone conclusion that Manning retires? He could fuck it up even more by wanting to play another year.

If he does that, and the Broncos even want him back, then they'll clearly let Osweiler walk and draft a QB with a high pick. A lot has to come together to go down that path, though.

so obviously my newsfeed is filled with yinzer nation (i know, i am embarrassed by it) how does everyone feel about the cin/pitt game on the following
1) shaziers hit
2) vontez's hit
3) munchak grabbing the bengal
4) porter being on the field during an injury
5) all the coaches from both teams actually being on the field during the injury

1) Legal, but probably should try to find a way to make it illegal
2) Illegal and unnecessary
3) Pretty stupid
4) Don't have a problem with it, just break things up when need be.
5) see #4
