This is so close. 01-07 are all 5 stars for me right now. The rest might all be 4 stars.

This is the best album since Riot Act.

Tough to say it is better than anything before because that can't be decided yet.
this thing needs time. it's slinky smooth though

Every song I listen to on this album I want to rank number two. Quick Escape is number one with a bullet for now.

I mean, I couldn't possibly rank it better than any of the first 7 albums, but it's undoubtedly better than the last 3

Yep. And for me, I can say better than Riot Act too. Binaural is probably my number one, so it gets much murkier after before that.

I keep going back and rearranging these songs, trying to figure out my ranking. It’s crazy. I can legitimately place my favorite song, and my bottom three or four, but everything else is basically a tie for second.

The important thing is that we've gotten a great album, with lots of top quality songs. Easily better than the previous two as a complete product (not every song on Gigaton is better than every song on BS and LB).

I’ve listened to this thing forward, backwards, and out of order about 25 times or so. That being said, I love the sequencing on this album. It’s really smart. I think it accentuates each song really well. But it really holds up any way you wanna play it.

I need to test this hypothesis more carefully, but at the moment I can distinctly hear moments on this record that remind me of moments on S-T, BS and / or LB, but vastly improve on them

so actually yes, I do think everything on this is better than everything on those

I actually disagree with this. I think every song on Gigaton is better than every song on those two albums. For realz.

I like several songs on S/T. None of them sound as good, but a few of them would be in the conversation with Gigaton.

I do think there are a few very good songs on Backspacer and Lightning Bolt. I can both disagree and understand someone saying all of Gigaton is better.

But I think it's more of a stretch saying all of Gigaton is better than all of S/T.

Mostly agreed. A sensible person can like many songs on S/T, possibly even wrongfully thinking they equate to the awesomeness that is Gigaton. Only a big dumb dumb stupid idiot would ever think anything on the last two disasters is in the same stratosphere.
