He is pretty much one of the main interests this band have from day one, but his playing and writing is stronger since Yield i guess....Backspacer was a pretty tight record for him and Matt.

eddie's vocal melodies were the mvp of backspacer for me.

So have we got an update of the soldiers who died on the battlefield yesterday and today? Maybe not died, because it was officially streamed but moreso lost a leg or two?

it's interesting, i was reading the LB thread and someone mentioned that they wish they hadn't listened to those earlier leaks because now that they have the full album, they skip those songs to listen to the new ones, and it now feels disjointed...

that's exactly one of the reasons i'm in this club... i want to experience the album as a whole, and i don't want it to seem like a disjointed experience or a collection of random songs (even though it may end up sounding that way).

i learned from my experience with S/T. i listened to WWS far too much when it came out, and by the time the album was released i was sick of it and always skipped it. i continued to skip it for probably 3 or 4 years after whenever i listened to the album.

for this album i've limited my listening to MYM and Sirens and i think i'll benefit from that.

im pretty much the same way, i always listen to singles or in the case of S/T the 6 song leak to the point of being tired of the songs and i only want the new ones when the album comes out. now if a full album leak had come out a few weeks ago in full CD quality then i might have caved, but at this point i see no need to listen to a stream when ill have the CD in my hands in a week.

especially since im pretty sure it was separate shipping for each , but i have no problem buying a 2nd copy of the CD from a retail store, i do a lot of times in case there is something different about them, but it eliminates any chance of me getting it early.

Oddly enough though I pre-ordered the CD back in July and no shipping confirmation on that yet. This is for the vinyl which I just pre-ordered a few weeks ago (as if they are working on the pre-orders in the reverse order?) Either they're shipping the 2 items together and just sent me one shipping confirmation, or they are purposefully shipping the vinyl orders a bit earlier since they may take longer to arrive (?) Does that make any sense.

Either way, I'm stoked
