I don't think Ukraine joining NATO was ever really on the table for the US.

Seems weird that Europeans wouldn't think their own security is up to them, but I guess generations of being protected will do that.

We are in NATO together, not apart.

The US took part in two world wars, but your attitude is that your country should be too cowardly this time, to stand up to a similar injustice.

That is a very offensive way of putting it. We are not a socialist democracy. We (Norway and the US) are both democracies. I am not a socialist. We don’t see your country, our ally, as a redneck. We don’t loath weapons, we manufacture weapons, we buy weapons from you, including planes. I’m a soldier, not a pacifist. I am loyal to the alliances I and my country makes. If you’re not, and you talk for the US, then please get the f out of NATO, and let us deal with it.

We're not allied to Ukraine as far as i know, at least not in some NATO-like way, and I don't think our alliances were eternal agreements to provide the military for a whole continent forever. NATO was made to stop communism and the Soviet Union. Mission accomplished.

Norway have historically made no promises and had no alliances with Ukraine, but guess what? The US did. The US has signed off on protecting them.

I'm actually amazingly consistent, while you alternate between rabid support and abject hatred for the US intervention, CIA meddling and neocon world policing, depending on what the American Democrat party tells you is the good guy and bad guy at any given moment.
