Re: Lightning Bolt: The Official Album Thread
I wrote something like that after the listening session. I forgot that is actually a good song. Even better when the language is not editedjimmy mac wrote:Really like this album. Don't hate Future Days, but after a few listens I feel like the perfect closer to this album would be 1/2 Full.
Am I the only person who can't figure out My Father's Son. Something about it seems off. I can't place it, odd tempo and timing changes or something. Feels like they pieced 2 different songs together. I like it, but I have a what the fuck kind of song is this feeling when I listen to it.
And BOB told that they do that: take cool pieces of music they have lying around and (re-)use them for songs. He talked about drum tracks, but I guess they do it with everything.

Stone seems older and wiser in a way I can perfectly appreciate. He seems like the most "intelligent" member of the band and I kind of wish he was friends enough with Ed that they would share leadership responsibilities. It seems to me he would be forcing more Jeff songs on records if that were the case.Birds in Hell wrote:I'm pretty sure Stone's younger than Ed.harmless wrote:He seems like the oldest member, I'm very surprised he's three years younger than everyone elseMirella wrote:verb_to_trust wrote: This is a pretty good example of Ed not screeching like a cat or fighting to get it back again. I knew it too. But that's just because I've spent so many hours gazing longingly upon the trading cards that came with Philly box set.Birds in Hell wrote:I'm pretty sure Stone's younger than Ed.

My FS offer for those still stands in the trading forum, by the way. Get 'em while they're hot, they probably won't last long.

Us December children always have it harder to count our age, since we are not the difference between the calendar year and the birth year until the year is almost over.
