It's possible. I get this too, mainly on the heel so I've got some stupidly expensive orthotics that do the job really well, but I don't wear them running (too bulky) -
but I have no issues as long as I have decent runners with support.
The towel trick is good. Also, a frozen water filled bottle is good to roll back and forth under the arch.
It couldn't hurt to get your foot checked out, in case it was due to the stomping.
Get this shit out of here!

Sorry, Sarge. My minimalism gets the best of me sometimes.

I've always wanted to try running with minimal/bare feet style runners, despite the PF. Unfortunately since my surgery it's not possible, as my right foot is still 75% numb underneath and has balance issues - so the support helps a lot with this.
The feeling is supposed to eventually come back in due time, so I'll give it a try then.

Can that be a pretty sharp pain? it was weird the way the pain started because i thought i might have turned my ankle with out realizing, but with in an hour or 2 it turned into a sharp pain across my arch or right in front of my heel.
Im hoping its not something recurring because i already think i have Achilles tendonitus in my other foot that bothers me if i sprint, mostly only when playing softball.

Im gonna try doing fewer different lifts but with more sets and try to finish with cardio every night i go to the gym to both try to focus more on the area im working on with the weights and do the cardio to try and get rid of my belly.
Tonight i did 4 sets of chest press, 4 sets of pull downs, 4 sets of pec flys, 3 sets of rows and 2 sets of curls. After all that i used the elliptical again and went a mile in 13:33 and 1.5 miles in 20:15 so i think that was pretty decent.

Sit like this:
Just a little bit here and there when you get a chance. Its painful at first but it is amazing to feel your entire arch, foot, toes, ankle open up just sitting back on your heel like that with your toes...

T2B is the runner and he apparently is not into stretching before hand. I know you shouldn't stretch muscles that are not warmed up though...
Do it after for sure. And try to do it on a regular basis. Feels amazing.

Stretching before running has been demystified in the past few years. All you really need to do is warm up the muscles. I like to do a couple of sets of bicycle sit-ups before a run.
That being said... Doc, if you do have PF you DO need to stretch the foot before and after running.

I did some of both of the stretches today, but am still gonna wait on running till Monday.
Tonight i did 4 sets of shoulder press, 4 sets of lateral raise, 4 sets of crunches, then i planned to work on arms but the machines i usually use were packed, so i went to the elliptical.
I did a mile tonight on the elliptical in 11:56 and got to 1.7 miles in 20:13
After that all the weight machines were empty so i got 4 sets of curls and 4 sets of tricep press and then called it a night

Great consistency to keep it going day after day man. I've had some experience with plantar fasciitis and the below stretches were recommended to me and made a difference. Rest is pretty paramount as well.

i am hoping to get another night in at the gym tonight, but my whole body hurts right now so im not sure if the 4th night in a row will happen

if i dont make it tonight then my next chance to get there will be sunday so im hoping i feel better tonight.
foot feels fine, but the elliptical has no impact on it so im not sure what to think, but ill try to run 3 miles on monday (if i can get to 3 miles) and see how it feels then. ill be doing the stretches until incase it is PF in my foot

Well, i managed to get in there again tonight.
It was super packed tonight and i was pretty sore from listing the last 2 nights so i just started with the elliptical instead of the weights and went for 30 minutes and 2.53 miles. After that i was warmed up and the weight machines were free so i did some chest and back work.

Solid but nothing special workout last night. Two days in a row.
Is there a way to work the arms without the ligament (tendon?) in the inner elbow getting irritated? I can feel it rub against the bone and while it doesn't hurt it does weaken my workout when it starts to get tender. I doubt that's probably a good thing long term either. I get it the most when I work biceps but can feel it for other muscle groups too.

After a month of consistent working out, eating well and limiting the booze, I've added an inch to my chest, 1.8 inches to my arms and an inch to each thigh. Very pleased to see the work paying off, looking forward to working out tomorrow!

Much better workout today than last time. Rainy morning which made the gym muggier and therefore sweaty than usual. Felt good though and the wet weather probably kept some of the crowd away.

I ran for the first time in a week last night and my foot seems good, though i could only get a mile after lifting for about 35 minutes. I did get the mile in just under 10 minutes so it wasn't bad.
I worked on chest and back with the weights
