I have one more episode of Season 5 and then I'm all caught up and can watch the final season as it happens.
Jimmy McGill is the driving force of course for the series, but Kim Wexler is the spotlight over this entire series.

I've been somewhat skeptical of the "Kim is a silent partner during the Breaking Bad years and helps run Saul's operation behind the scenes" fan theory but episode 1 made it a little more likely. The way she started dictating where Saul Goodman would work and how he'd behave

I would be so happy for that
I've been dreading that they'll kill her off; I had thought a better outcome would be for her to leave with her dignity, but that fan theory is better still

Kim just wants to be funded by Saul while working her pro bono cases. The season ends with Gene getting caught and his representation is Slippin’ Kimmy
