Like full stop delusional.
this album definitely doesn't sound like it was made in 1993

Yeah, I think this needs to be my journey.
it is cornier than both of them, but the cool thing is, it's also really good

Dissident and Wishlist are bottom 20% songs for me. I hate them both.

I'd take 5-6 songs on Gigaton over 5-6 songs on Vs.

Ok newb questions here.
1) Where are you buying hi-res music?
2) Are there portable music devices people recommend that can handle hi-res?
1) Qobuz
2) I'm no audiophile, I'm just listening on my phone (with headphones)

I wish it was the closer. I am just not getting into River Cross yet. I love the Ed/organ only version and wish they would have stuck with that. Don't love what the band did with it—less plucky bass and drums and more guitar is what I'd prefer.
Once people realize Retrograde while earnest isn't really any cornier than something like Dissident or Wishlist they'll come around on it.
Agreed on River Cross. Wish they would’ve left it alone. The plucky bass notes or whatever over the vocals in the verses are distracting. What were they thinking with that? This song is strong enough that the solo version worked.

Never Destination and Take the Long way have grown on me, but I still can't get into Retrograde at all.

Never Destination was my second favorite after Quick Escape.
I love the way the song closes.
So I say “til then”... Never say “goodbye”
A little trick I play... On my mind.

I got the physical copy in my mailbox today. Going to give it a couple proper listens while sitting on my patio on this sunny afternoon here shortly.

I admire the effort but unless Audacity has implemented some big changes, there are better ways to do this. I’m concerned your method would boost the bass across the stereo spread; what you want is an M/S plug that will allow you to just treat the center.
Apologies in advance if Audacity actually lets you do this now.
No, I think you're right. I haven't checked yet but I'm not sure that my experiment will come out sounding better than the original track. What's a better way to do this? The only other audio editing software I have is Adobe Audition

Just got my vinyl in the mail this morning, and I must say, they outdid themselves this time on the packaging and presentation. The cover of the LP just pops. It has to be one of the more beautiful vinyl packages that I've seen. So much for getting anymore work done today......

If you ever do this start a new thread cause I'd love this sort of thing and don't want to lose this conversation in this big thread.
