No pre-game warning in a game like this is like openly telling both teams they might as well take the first shot because there will be no punishment until the other team retaliates.Simple Torture wrote:
Well, there was no warning yesterday and Sale's looking at a suspension, so that seems to be setting precedent.philpritchard wrote:No pre-game warning in a game like this is like openly telling both teams they might as well take the first shot because there will be no punishment until the other team retaliates.Simple Torture wrote:
Chris_H_2 wrote:let's be honest, unless you're talking at least 7-8 games, suspensions for starting pitchers are more ceremonious than anything. you can just appeal, wait for an off-day, push the other starters back a day, and then drop the appeal and not miss any games.
He's actually hit for more "power" (two of his three extra base hits) out of the lead off spot than elsewhere.Simple Torture wrote:Interesting article on the weird player Xander is becoming. Power tends to be streaky for everyone. He'll probably hit a couple homeruns in the next week and suddenly his numbers will look normal again.Simple Torture wrote:Jfc then what the hell is going on?philpritchard wrote:He's actually hit for more "power" (two of his three extra base hits) out of the lead off spot than elsewhere.Simple Torture wrote:Interesting article on the weird player Xander is becoming. Could be the way he's being pitched, too. The other night Eck was talking about how righties throw him tons of sliders, and how he's going with it. A few pitches later, he doinks an RBI single over the 2B's head.philpritchard wrote:Power tends to be streaky for everyone.
