I think Skitch's post more than justifies that entire thread existing.

that's exactly one of the reasons i'm in this club... i want to experience the album as a whole, and i don't want it to seem like a disjointed experience or a collection of random songs (even though it may end up sounding that way).
i learned from my experience with S/T. i listened to WWS far too much when it came out, and by the time the album was released i was sick of it and always skipped it. i continued to skip it for probably 3 or 4 years after whenever i listened to the album.
for this album i've limited my listening to MYM and Sirens and i think i'll benefit from that.
That's why I held out until the iTunes posting too. Glad I did but don't regret diving in at all.
I'll be on a quest to become less self-absorbed after the album release. Til' then it's just me, this community, pearl jam albums and more me . Why didn't someone warn me it would be this hard?

But it's getting harder given all the praise for Jeff on this album. I really liked his RNDM stuff, so I am pretty excited to here what he adds to LB. That and MYM and Sirens have finally washed the shit-stain of Ole from my ears, so I am ready to be showered in late career mediocrity.
