it's a parent's job to provide a happy life for a child, exploring every possible option towards that end
OK, but at what age did they transition, the people in this study? I’m only concerned for children because they tend to be unwise.Ms Harmless wrote:trans people have addressed "trans regret" over and over again
1% regret rate, compared to much higher in other situations
I do not believe my job as a parent is to make my children the maximum level of happy. I believe my job is to help guide them to being responsible, fulfilled and who hopefully find deep purpose and meaning in their lives. Happiness is a fleeting thing.Ms Harmless wrote:it's a parent's job to provide a happy life for a child, exploring every possible option towards that end

I’m not sure it’s so clear in every case. But you are giving me things to think about.Ms Harmless wrote:being trans is not a luxury you give to people, it's something they are whether you like it or not, and whatever you do / don't do about it

I live with and communicate with a support network of other trans people and organisations on a daily basis, across the globe; I'm very careful to make sure that what I say in here about us is solid and consensus-basedtree_ wrote:What is your conviction based upon?Ms Harmless wrote:I am suretree_ wrote:I’m not sure it’s so clear in every case.
