Eddie Vedder - Earthling

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

Power of right- what a riff. Best riff on the album . It sounded very foos/royal blood. The bass is bad ass on this while Ed is driving this one and In Total control

On of my favs

Fallout today- sounds like MMJ to me. The bass is more notable in the mix than the live version. Chorus is easy to singalong with.

Nice guitar solo

In the dark- could of fit on Jeff’s heaven/hell very well. Pop rock with a very catchy chorus that I’ve been singing all morning. “I found you in the dark” .

It’s a keeper

Good and evil - stop/start punk rock Song where Ed sounds equally wicked when required.

Rose of Jericho - very nirvana/green day. A nice little 2-3 minute rock song with a catchy chorus

Both these songs are instantly likeable

Collaboration

Try- Stevie Wonder- awesome song one of my favs. A good fun rock song with some insane harmonica playing.

Picture- Ed and EJ sound great together. Country/jazzY/folky kind of funky/blues stomp song “we are a picture of love,we are a picture of hope”

Mrs mills- sounds amazing another of my favs. Very beatles/Ben folds piano based tune and Ed sounds great again.

On my way- the most sentimental track on the album. Ed and his dad sound great together. His dad sings “on my way” while Ed songs “I took the long way” and it all works very well.

Chad smith rocks this album. Cheney on bass is more than a handy addition.

Unlike Ed’s other solo album which felt like him in the studio. This a band album as opposed to a solo effort.

I’m very impressed

I loved all the teams even “the haves” is growing on me.

Well I haven’t seen any review of The Haves yet... that sounds like it might be a real rocker, really looking forward to that one!!!

Would be happy to receive a leaky Earthling PM - thankyou.

I am quite jealous of those who have gotten to hear the album and attend shows on the tour!

The interview with EV and Watt in Variety was pretty compelling!
"Mine is mine, and yours won't take it's place...."
"If hope could grow from dirt like me... it can be done."

Yea, Thanks, Got Some. I'm cool until Friday, and you have my hopes up. An Eddie solo album that sounds like he has an actual band behind him sounds fantastic. Don't think I'll come around on The Haves, but liked the other two and the live vids...
