Today's a big day for a couple Blue Jays who are on the brink of sitting out a couple games.

I can't really complain about a split against the White Sox with my 3-4 starters going, and those were two amazing extra-innings games, but it's hard not to look at blowing a 9-2 lead as a missed opportunity.

We probably both won the games we should have lost. I can't help but think sending Frank Smith out to pitch for a 10th inning was a bit of an absurd idea.

Ten of the sixteen teams are either currently in or with a game of a playoff spot.

And not that it makes much difference, since I only really needed one run, but waiting until he allowed 4 hits and a walk to pull him probably wasn't too smart either.
For me it was the big collapse in the second game: Hentgen has 5 walks in six innings and they keep him in to load the bases, then leave him in to walk Albert Belle and serve up the grand slam to Frank Thomas.
Bullpen usage and no DH are my only real issues with this simulator, but it sure makes for some exciting games!

Yeah, it's a flawed system, but it's fun to see these guys' names in box scores and play by play recaps.

The most flawed system is the sites insistance in making frank robinson the first pinch hitter off the bench.

It does the same thing with Dick Allen for me. I think he's like 2-25 as a pinch hitter.

SS - Tony Fernandez
2B - Roberto Alomar
1B - John Olerud
RF - Jesse Barfield
LF - Jose Bautista
3B - Paul Molitor
CF - Devon White
C- Pat Borders
Here's the lineup for tomorrow. A few games ago I was debating whether or not to give Fernandez a couple games off... but I just realized he has a .354 OBP with 10 steals in 11 attempts.
Moseby was amazing for a while, but he's been useless lately, so it's time to see what Devo can do.

I've had Delgado and Bell and they've both been decent.
I think I've only seen on instance of pinch-running, which is crazy since I've had Devon White on my bench all year. My team speed is decent, but... I mean... I have Olerud in the lineup. There has to have been a chance somewhere along the line to bring White in to run and plug Delgado in at first!
