They were released, unremastered and non-anamorphic, on DVDs that are now OOP.
I got a set of the DVDs. I'll have to check and see if those are on there.

They're on DVDs but not BRs? Lame.

It was a set that came out after the special editions were in the theatres. 97 or 98. Each film has two discs. The special edition on one and the original theatrical cut on the other. The original cuts just look better. Grainy and kinda tangible. It works for a lot of the films. But the cleaned up versions look great too but have the cheap looking bad added stuff. So much of it.

The special editions are available on bluray but the original theatrical cuts aren't.

the presence of a forgettable character from a bad movie having a small part in Rogue One is a non event for me

Oh I got it now. Yeah now that I think about it it's a bit of a cop out. But how else could they have done it?

My set only has one disc for each movie, then a documentary on the fourth disc.

Does your theatrical cut of the original film have "Episode IV: A New Hope" opening the crawl?

No think it's just Star Wars. I'll check later. Just on the way out.

It's so funny how they drop this totally covert tv spot. Some dude catches the notice about the new trailer and tweets it. And now it's ERRYWHERE. It's like every tv spot now reminds you there's a trailer on thursday. And the Star Wars twitter account wants you to know it's on thursday.

Hey, guys, you guys know what happens Thursday? It's Thursday!
