wasn't the first iteration of this board created around 2002 or so? i assume that most people that created accounts then (or in the years after that) were still pretty die-hard fans at that time. i also assume that few of those people have the same passion for pearl jam that they once had. those that do are definitely in the minority.

Fair point, I guess I failed at trying to make the point that there is no singular way of being a fan, but that might have come as a reaction to an unfair reading of Bs post

We actually mock people for a lot more than collecting.

Also, Bi_3 taught me how to flip your friend's poster on eBay to pay for your show ticket, so he doesn't get to trash collectors.
