"I don't know Ed. Do you think maybe they work in Alive because they're unhinged bursts of emotion at the climactic point of a crushingly powerful piece of music?"

"No, Stone. I don't. They work because aw huhs and yeah yeah yeahs are just great. Go put on your reindeer sweater."
I like to imagine them all sat in a log cabin with cups of hot cocoa, wearing the sweaters that Eddie knitted them as they thrash out new ideas.

"Hey, Jeff..."

"Yeah Stone?"

"Is it just me, or were the sweaters Ed knitted for us so much better from like 1993-2005?"

"Oh man, don't get me started. It's like since he got married he doesn't care about his sweater knitting anymore."

"RIP Ed."

Ya know, if it wasn't for Ed making Stone fire Dave A. and leaving Beth Pearl Jam would've still been a fucking great band.

I'm not sure about that. I think they began to drop in popularity when Stone realised how popular the "Duck Walk" was becoming with teenage girls.

That was just his way if shooting down rumours about his sexuality. No respectable gay man would dance like that in public.

Apparently Ed is knitting a truckload of sweaters for a Canadian music school that let him use their bathroom. Nice gesture.

I saw someone post a video he made of Sirens today, with images of 500 Days of Summer. I wanted to click 'like' but it was already retracted or removed. Anyway, it remined me to share what I think of with the Lightning Bolt lyrics you discussed earlier on. You know, the lines at the start that some people dislike. I like them. I see a fallen angel there because of this movie: :)

groetjes,
Mirella :)

It would have been fun to see which one of them snapped and killed the other one first.

Ed and Dave I mean, not ed and beth, though I guess that could have happened too.

Stone is giving BoB the "Wanker!" gesture behind Ed's head.
