I wonder when my school will get the memo. Three years ago our jargon theme of the year was "grit" and the next year was "rigor."
It's a shame that article in the tweet is behind a paywall, though.

Honestly, when I saw that headline, I thought we were cancelling Rigor b/c it rhymes with the N word.

The issue is the achievement gap. None of the easy solutions work, and we refuse to do the hard ones, so now the idea is to make it so the problem isnt a problem anymore thus eliminating the gap.
