I purchased 2 of these:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TI ... UTF8&psc=1
I will set them on each side of my ikea shelf so that I can lift the speakers off the ground a little more.

I picked up a couple of "essentials" last weekend that were missing from my shelves:
I bought them from Urban Outfitters of all places.... but hey, when you're stuck shopping all day with the wife/gf, it's nice to know that you can find some records to buy SOMEWHERE

Got the Marantz up and running and picked up a pair of Infinity Monitory Jr's. Looks and sounds great! Can definitely hear a much more full sound
Sexy every which way you angle it, bud.
unfortunately my guy was unable to get replacement bulbs but thats okay. Its sounding sweet! Also a huge upgrade on the speakers as well!
It made me horny.
My marantz is missing some lights too. Oh well.

Does yours have the "mono" button on it?
I was listening to War on Drugs last night and 1 of the songs was sounding a little off. Most of the volume was coming from the right speakers and less from the left. I pressed the mono button and that evened it out but of course isnt really how the record should be listened to. It wasn't like that on the other tracks though. Strange

Did you accidentally pan right?

No. I spent the entirety of the 7 minute song panning back and forth and checking to make sure I wasn't hearing things.

If it only happens on that one song you probably have a bad pressing.

My wife and I are thiiiiiiiiis close to closing on a house, and it looks like for the first few months the basement will be just a pool table and many, many crates of records.

Don't worry, we're getting rid of the radon.

After the Gold Rush LP on the Neil YOung store seems to be priced like a CD at $11.98 plus you get 15% off until Friday:
http://neilyoung.warnerbrosrecords.com/ ... ed-cd.html
Also a good chance to pick up the Official Release Series 2 on vinyl... which comes out to $135 with the discount and free shipping for you "privileged" US residents.

U-S-A! U-S-A!
I just unwrapped my ATGR, and it's awesome. A friggin' steal at that price (I paid $20).
Since it didn't sell well upon release and there are plenty of copies available (it seems), the ORS Vol. 2 will probably continue to drop in price. But I'll reiterate that it's worth it.

That's what counts. If everything is working in your system then don't question it. Just enjoy!
having said that, I just bought a new cork mat to try on my turntable instead of the felt one. Some people say it can change the sound slightly. I guess I'll find out.

Let us know!
I definitely feel a more full sound from the Infinity Speakers than those tower floor standing Polk Audio monitors. My stereo guy gave me a couple little sticky feet to put under the speakers to keep them off the wood a bit to help the sound carry through the room better. And i love the old look on them as well.
