Why did Lalo kill the friendly goat farmers? Just misplaced rage from what went down at his house? Or something else?

There was some nuance to what happened but it explains why investigators thought Lalo was dead

Lalo asks the woman how the guy was after his dental surgery and she reveals Lalo paid for it, which means he had a dental record match patsy. This is why he tells him to leave the stache and soul patch

That guy’s sole existence was to unknowingly serve as his dead body double in a situation like this.

I'll grant that maybe I missed something obvious, but it seems to me like a rare fumble of a plot point by VG: It's not really explained very clearly, and the net payoff is either A) some confusion for us dumber viewers, or B) it doesn't even matter 25 minutes later. Weird.

Gus knows because Hector shook his hand. Hector would never shake his hand. So Gus knew something was up.

Yes I did understand this. But it's just a lot of silly mechanics (the dental records/shave and a haircut stuff) for something that doesn't seem to be actually driving the plot one iota.

I guess you just have to go with it. The one thing about movies/tv shows is that writers can write in anything to account for any contingency. Need Lalo to be "dead"? Have a farmer with similar looks and fake teeth just in case.

Hector getting a call from Lalo and Lalo telling him he's going to take out Fring, probably gave Hector renewed vigor to be friendly to Gus that one time, shaking his hand because he knew Gus would be dead soon. Gus catches on to that and puts the pieces together. Seems more well thought out (writing wise) then the drug lord has a loner body on hand.

With the amount of spying and keeping tabs on people, you think Mike and those other two guys that work for Fring never sleep. They are literally everywhere at anytime, when the story dictates it.

I'm still watching because I love most things about this show, but I do think it shows off instead of simply conveying information sometimes

I kinda loved all that "I can't I'm with my family" stuff with Mike, they just gave up on it
