I was wondering about this on the way home. I guess these right wing, conservative assholes think pedophelia is an ok thing. That's it's ok for older men to molest young boys. What other conclusion is there the way they are defending him and his comments?

A lot of them think that he was "taken out of context" or "misunderstood". Because, you know, this is the party of fairness and careful consideration.

Maybe this reflects the kind of people I follow but, as someone firmly on the conservative end of the political spectrum, I've barely seen anyone defending Milo, either now or earlier. Being anti-liberal, or aligning with "the right", doesn't necessarily make someone a conservative.

Someone actually said to me, "Where's that liberal understanding?", as if this is something that liberals generally accept. Like theplatylus said, some of these alt-right folks are beyond reconciling reality with their worldview. I tend to think people like Milo have their place in the debate over speech, but rationalizing sexual violence against children crosses a line for me.
