PhatJ, much of the conservative media, as a general rule, portrays the left as hateful freeloaders, hell bent on destroying America, because they hate it. This idea that the big problem is the way the left views the right signals blind loyalty to your team. You are angry at the very thing you're deeply engaged in. The left has issues for sure, but the notion that half the country aren't real Americans or are opposed to it in some way exists on the right, and is unpatriotic, which is ironic to say the least. A person only has to check out a Trump rally or two on youtube to see that when he's tearing someone down, or encouraging "lock her up" type chants, the place erupts. And of course, you could just follow him on Twitter. Trump may have won 2016, and might win again, but good luck with this approach in the long term.

Personally, I don't believe you to be racist, sexist or any of those things. However, more than a few I know personally are exactly those things. And when there's not many conservates that actually call him out for his boorish, or even illegal, behavior, and just accept what he does as "him being Trump" there's not much else we have to go on. It's beyond my comprehension how the Evangelical Christians just go along with him. And for (supposedly Christian) republicans to proclaim as the savior sent from God just baffles me. Uh, if you're a Christian, the savior sent from God is Christ, not Donald Trump. As long as their agenda is taken care of, I guess that makes everything ok. Nothing he does tries to bring this country together as a group of people that calls themselves Americans. Everything he does is designed to push people and groups further and further apart. And make the rich richer. And it's working.
