PhatJ, much of the conservative media, as a general rule, portrays the left as hateful freeloaders, hell bent on destroying America, because they hate it. This idea that the big problem is the way the left views the right signals blind loyalty to your team. You are angry at the very thing you're deeply engaged in. The left has issues for sure, but the notion that half the country aren't real Americans or are opposed to it in some way exists on the right, and is unpatriotic, which is ironic to say the least. A person only has to check out a Trump rally or two on youtube to see that when he's tearing someone down, or encouraging "lock her up" type chants, the place erupts. And of course, you could just follow him on Twitter. Trump may have won 2016, and might win again, but good luck with this approach in the long term.

I have no desire left to even try to “prove” why any of you might be wrong. It’s not like you would care even if I proved it beyond any reasonable doubt. Over the last few weeks I’ve even had several RMers PM me to say they agree with me on much of what I’m saying, but they don’t think it’s worth vocalizing those beliefs on this board because the rabid nature of the liberals here isn’t worth engaging with. They know they’ll be called idiots, racists, sexists, etc. even if it isn’t remotely true. That’s just the reality of RM and the general ideology of the left. Complete intolerance of any dissenting thought. Now you guys will mock me for this post and claim I’m making shit up - I’m not - but I sincerely just don’t care about what any of you think of my politics or me. I couldn’t care less about the opinions of people that I wouldn’t trust one word of advice from. Have fun in your hateful and miserable intolerance while you exist on a level that has a foundation in hypocrisy alone.
Personally, I don't believe you to be racist, sexist or any of those things. However, more than a few I know personally are exactly those things. And when there's not many conservates that actually call him out for his boorish, or even illegal, behavior, and just accept what he does as "him being Trump" there's not much else we have to go on. It's beyond my comprehension how the Evangelical Christians just go along with him. And for (supposedly Christian) republicans to proclaim as the savior sent from God just baffles me. Uh, if you're a Christian, the savior sent from God is Christ, not Donald Trump. As long as their agenda is taken care of, I guess that makes everything ok. Nothing he does tries to bring this country together as a group of people that calls themselves Americans. Everything he does is designed to push people and groups further and further apart. And make the rich richer. And it's working.

It's working because he has figured out that he can sell the rich getting richer as long as employment numbers are good. Good employment numbers provide people hope that they can change their situation.

Various outlets yesterday related that Trump has paid his $2 million fine to the State of New York for misusing Trump Foundaton charitable funds. Our president is an admitted con artist (Trump Foundation, Trump University) and that doesn't even register as newsworthy these days.

The man has an established pattern of corruption and theft. You are absolutely right. He is an admitted con artist. He knows it. We all know it. But somehow it doesn't matter to his base or to Senate Republicans. All partisan politics aside, it's absolutely batshit crazy to me.
