Honestly, all my complaints could be addressed by letting the story go more than 8 episodes.

Ending just felt all jacked up and bashed together.
You need another two episodes to I do this properly. I hate the way it ended.

Ahsoka asked Sabine in episode 4 was she willing to make the sacrifice with the map.
She folded due to Baylan.
A nice little Redemption arc after sending Ezra home that she stayed

Dime's reviews are so weird. Sometimes he clearly knows all his shit, points out bizarre little background things and ties things together really well. Then other times its like "this insanely obvious thing was that?!!!"
Anyways, the more I've thought about this, the more disappointing the finale was.
Leaving things on such an obvious cliffhanger is expected, but unsatisfying.
Shin and Baylen are two of the most interesting characters introduced on any of the live action series (along with entirity of Andor and Reva) and neither had a line in the finale. I don't think they changed the ending of Baylens arc because of his passing- they would have given him the Poochie treatment not the most open ended question raising ending of all.

I’m generally not that erratic but the way this ended just pissed me off.
And I posed the question about the statue as a question so as not to come off like a god awful know it all. I know it was the father and son I just wanted to see did anyone else catch it.
Wtf is that twinkling light way over on that mountain though? Serious BOTW nod.

He was standing on the Argonath looking towards Mount Doom

Mount doom.
Didn’t think of that.
The Argonath face north. With their hands raised in rejection of the (previous) dark lord who resided there.
Mordor and Sauron weren’t a thing when they were built. But I like your idea.

Also, the dialogue between Ahsoka and Sabine outside of their ship before the Tie fighters attack… ouch. The pauses were so long and forced i could almost hear the director say “aaand ACTION!” before each line

It didn’t bother me but I have seen that complaint and I have to wonder what was with the long drawn out pauses all the Fucking time? I get it from Ahsokas pov. She’s meant to be all Jedi samurai all wise one. But everyone else?

How did Huyang know Kanan was Caleb, but not that he was Ezra's master

Good point. Caleb didn't become Kanaan until after Order 66. Maybe he pieced it together because of the "narrow opening" think Ezra was wanting for his light saber?

I watched again, as I was tired last night. Hoping I would like it more, nope. Breaking down the really bad:
The Thrawn/Nightsisters scene, while cool, was too long. Took up a lot of time in a short episode
Zombie Stormtrooper. Ugh. Even went with cheesy zombie noises. Just. terrible. The one thing that could have been worse than introducing time travel was introducing zombies into live action Star Wars.
The dialogue. Even with Ahsoka/Sabine aside, stuff like Thrawn's lines seemed so overrehearsed and practiced.
The lack of two main characters (Baylan and Shin) in anything but the ending montage. JFC this was a huge flub. Ridiculous.
The Anakin appearance. That felt really forced. Why have it at all? He made an amazing appearance earlier in the series, leave it at that.
The ok, I guess:
I liked the mention of Kanaan. Also Ezra building a lightsaber.
The backstory on Sabine and Ahsoka. Although it was short, it summed things up pretty well and even tied it in to events that people watching The Mandalorian could understand/relate to.
The little turtle creatures on that planet. I know they were more than just this episode, but they were a nice addition.
The really good:
The Ezra and Hera reunion had way more emotion than the Ezra and Sabine reunion. Even my wife, who doesn't watch with me, saw it and let out an audible "aww".
This was really bad, guys. Very disappointed. I hope for a second season just to clean that stuff up. You can't roll right into Mando or a Thrawn movie from that. Yikes.

There were two or three moments I was shouting JUST HUG!! PLEASE!
Ahsoka and Sabine
Ezra and Sabine
And then Hera and Ezra. That one particularly. She’s effectively his mom ffs!! She hasn’t seen him in years!
Why isn’t she all emotional and running to give him a hug??
They knocked it outta the park with this series but they fucked up the landing badly and on many many fronts

Did anyone else feel like the music during the stormtrooper resurrection sounds like the Beetlejuice score?

Excellent episode. The zombie troopers was a bit weird, but nothing I can’t accept. The action was great. The story made sense, and I felt they made the right decisions. With Thrawn we got as far as we could go, Ezra’s story this season ending with him being back was also logical.
The worst part was Baylan Skoll not really doing anything. Even a five minute scene of him getting somewhere would have been good.
All in all a top tier Star Wars tv season, up there with the best of Mando and Andor. Very happy we got this from these characters. The people behind Star Wars have finally made some great decisions.

Mostly disagree with this.
The Thrawn/Nightsisters scene was a superb start to the episode
The Anakin appearance was the perfect ending
Kanan being mentioned made me smile, simillar with that whole scene with building the lightsaber, and the inclusion of the Sabine/Ahsoka backstory. Five star scene.
Ezra and Hera reunion was fine, but not a great highlight to me.
Thought the dialogue was fine, if a little uneven.
Also the action was excellent, lots of lightsaber action.
Agree that the Zombie Troopers could have been better, and the lack of Baylan/Shin was a letdown.
