I don't think it's your job to decide
It's OK to ask a woman to come to your place in the proper context.
she'll decide what the proper context is; this time she decided "here isn't"; you're needing more context to decide that was OK?
Just because some random person thinks it's OK to hit someone for any reason whatsoever does not make it OK. We need more information to decide. Did he grab her ass? Were they complete strangers? Did he have an apparent boner? I mean... these things matter. If he was being completely gentlemanly and accepted no for no, then a slap is unnecessary violence.

You're adding elements to the situation! That's not fair

sometimes people get incredible amounts of shit every day, they get tired, and they break; it's not "polite", it might be subject to a warning by bar staff (though in the case of the man and woman, I'd hope both parties might be addressed); but it's cool, people are human, I get it

I've seen people on this forum afford a lot of humanity to a lot of famous rich people over the years I've been here; I'm disappointed that we can't find any of that for Will Smith

I'm adding my empathy based on my shared knowledge and experience; the fact that you don't have that by default is no one else's responsibility

I don't care if you're a drunk slut at a posh party or a rich asshole with a skank wife, I do not condone unnecessary, unjustified violence.

Two women are sitting at table in bar. It's late night, 1 AM. The women are having a very serious and private conversation. It's clear by looking at them that the conversation is private and serious. One of the women is teary-eyed. The other is holding her hand.

A man walks up and tries to talk to the women. He asks if they are okay and tries to sit down. One woman, the one not crying, tells him everything is fine and that they don't need anything. It's a private matter, thanks.

The guy makes jokes. Tells the women to smile. Offers to buy them a drink.

The crying woman says no and tells him to leave them alone. They aren't looking for attention.

The man walks away.

The conversation continues. The friend of the crying woman notices the guy talking to his friends and glancing back over at the women. The crying woman looks over her shoulder and makes eye contact with the guy, then turns back to her friend.

The guy approaches again. The friend of the crying women tells him to back off. They aren't interested. The guys says he just wants to help. The friend says, you can help by leaving us alone. The guy asks her why she's being so fucking hostile.

The friend slaps him.

How's that context?

That's a different story, Joe. You can't tell us a story and ask us to react to it and then tell us we're wrogn because you only told us ten percent of the story

Why's he gotta be an old man? This whole thing stinks of agism.

Yeah Joe, that's reasonable. That's context.

Ten percent? Jesus.

Between this a "pedophile" you're really reaching today.

I never told anyone they were wrong. I gave context to a situation in which a man was slapped.
