Um... they took it out of the barrel so they could put the beer in it.

Because it's a bourbon stout? Are you okay? Sometimes I worry.

But... it's a bourbon barrel stout. Which means it's aged or whatever in the same barrels as .... you know what, never mind. I don't know why it doesn't taste like bourbon.

There's generally a pronounced bourbon note, Joe. It was missing in this particular beer and I felt misled. I hope we can get past this.

I've never had a bourbon or bourbon barrel beer or whatever. I just figured it was about the style and adding those oaky and/or caramel flavors to the stout more than it was about adding a bourbon flavor. But I don't know much about much, yaknow?
