I go back and forth all the time. Can't decide if Vitalogy is their best album or if it's Riot Act. But it's absolutely one of the two.

Vs is solidly number 3 for me. Every song is good, and about half are legendary

2. If you were to make the perfect 13 song Pearl Jam album comprising of songs from their entire catalogue, what would it be? Rules are:
- the album would be 13 songs total
- no more than 2 songs from any one album

3. If you were to fuck up Gigaton by reordering the songs in a horrible sequence, what would the most painfully rage inducing sequence be?
Yield is my "only one album" album, but Vitalogy is my favourite album. Weird I know. Will think about the rest.

1. Binaural. That's why its my favorite album. Gigaton and Riot Act have potential to move up though.

Vs is a great record. It has 5 of the bands all time greatest songs on it -- almost HALF the album is to tier, all time, catalog defining great!

I would never begrudge anyone who ranked it in the top spot.

Personally, I've never really warmed much to Blood. Leash has not aged well at all. Glorified G is a minor some b that feels like true filler. The album feels a tad immature and more than a little overwrought to me which is why it's not I'm my be top 5.

Still, hell of a record.

1. Probably Ten. Its not necessarily my favorite Pearl Jam album, but i dont think i could go the rest of my life without listening to that collection of songs.

2. Pretty much an impossible task...also probably depends on the audience. I'm gonna approach this like i'm making a mix for one of my kids, trying to convert them.

Corduroy
Go
Do The Evolution
Sad
Dance of the Clairvoyants
I Got Shit
Immortality
Red Mosquito
Black
Nothing As It Seems
Rearviewmirror
Alive
Yellow Ledbetter

3. No idea...but i personally love the sequencing. I could live with maybe just taking out Never Destination, as long as we would have gotten it as a B-Side to Dance.

SAME. Although I think Yield is consistently my number 1 album from beginning to end. I don’t know why I put Vitalogy no.1, but really Yield, Vitalogy, and no code all claim top spot at different times. Yield is an album I can consistently listen to beginning to end with no skips. And it has the most variety of any album. That would be my one and only.

Awesome list for number 2. Mine would be similar but would have to include Long Road in there somewhere, plus Insignificance

Y'all like Vs way more than me; it's my least favorite of the 90s albums.

Ed is at his best. Dave A is a monster. Basically every song is strong. There’s no “filler”. And it sounds awesome. Plus I love the album art.
