And it was actually a real photo. It looks like a clip art from a Windows 98 PowerPoint but that was the sky on hat island that day.

I learned something I don't know today.

The Death Star's weapon?
It's powered by a gigantic kyber crystal. same crystal inside every lightsaber.
So it's effectively a giant lightsaber.

*but it's green and so is Luke's in ROTJ so what does it all mean????

Kyber crystals have been around for a long time. I think they're first introduced (in the old canon) in Splinter of the Mind's Eye. But they've also been in the new canon (in Clone Wars, specifically).

I love the introduction of these in the new official canon.

yea i would love to actually see the lightsaber be constructed. That would be cool. I think that was one of my favorite parts of one of the book trilogies i read.

Strat. This is a deleted scene from return of the Jedi. You see Vader contacting Luke just as he is building his lightsaber. This was actually deleted and it would have been so awesome had it been left in.

Kind of weak. But a good backstory on how they are built would be cool

Fuck off that scene is cool.

In canon padewans go to a certain cave on a certain planet. The crystal chooses them. And they assemble the lightsaber purely through the force without touching it.

That's actually what happens in canon.

I prefer Luke's clip.

*the crystal in kylos lightsaber is actually cracked. That's why it's frazzled and haywire when it's on. Also canon.

I'm sad you're not excited about that Luke scene. Really thought you would have been. Ah well.

Is that racist? Does he look Jewish?
I don't know who Argo is. Sounds like a fake name.
