What are you currently watching on TV?

I thought the show slowly started going downhill after Season 3.

Disagreed completely, I think it got better as it went along, and I think that much is clear after the show stopped airing and public expectations stopped playing into how episodes were received. But the whole show is stellar, top to bottom.

Could be...I had big expectations that the Pine Barrens episode was going to lead to something and there was a lot of consternation on my part and those in my circle when that didn't pan out. Without those expectations maybe the later seasons wouldn't have felt as disappointing.

This looks cheap in all the wrong ways, and not sure why they seem to be adhering so closely to the original instead of going for something with its own vibe.

The Pine Barrens episode goes to exactly the right place. Without weird episodes like that in the early seasons, the show never could have gotten to the amazing places it went in seasons five and six(es).
