Re: Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
I wasn't thinking of him sensing ability. She MUST be Force sensitive or strong in the Force or surrounded by the Force or chock full of Midochlorians. Half of her DNA is from the Chosen One.
If Jedi and Sith can't sense that, then what the fuck can they sense?

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

SO... from the trailer, it looks like the Inquisitors come to Tatooine. It's possible they are there to find Kenobi, sure. Makes sense. But the fact that Kenobi later in canon returns to Tatooine to keep watch on Luke makes me wonder if maybe the Inquisitors don't know that Kenobi is there at all.
If that's true, why are the Inquisitors on Tatooine. Logic suggests that they are there hunting someone else. Who are they hunting?
There are Obi-Wan interlude in the Ahsoka novel. This interlude is the only part of the novel that doesn't directly connect to Ahsoka and her adventure specifically. Is this maybe evidence to suggest that Ahsoka is in the show? Is Ahsoka looking for Obi-Wan?
If not Ahsoka, who? There could be a dozen options. A new Jedi we don't know already, perhaps? I just think it's an interesting idea that the Inquisitors are on Tatooine not because of Obi-Wan, but for another reason.
We'll find out soon enough but that kind of the thing would help explain why Obi-Wan -- after leaving the planet -- ends up returning to keep watch on Luke. Further, it would explain why no one ever comes looking for Obi-Wan again after the events of this series. If the Empire/Vader/etc knows that Obi-Wan had been on Tatooine, then surely they'd come back looking for him again, right?
However, i think they are hunting Obi Wan. "Where is he!" is in the trailer and that can be no other than Obi Wan. How he survives being hunted and seemingly stays hidden/keeps luke safe after that is up for debate but im guessing we'll find out.

The fun of it all is us speculating and ruminating and sharing ideas.
We need fo do that responsibly though.
Strat is on the money here I think. There may well be a load of guest surprises but let’s keep expectations in check.

Oh yeah. I promise I'm not trying to force Ahsoka into the show. I want what's best for the story. If she fits, great! If not, then that's great too.Strat wrote:Forgive me - Few days old but ive been out of town. I think this is Joey REALLY WANTING ahsoka in this. I'm really just trying to reconcile the potential issue of Kenobi returning to the same place where the Empire already knew to look for him. Like you said, I'm sure we'll get it answered. Just got me thinking. The way the Inquisitors show up and seemingly kill a dude, just makes me wonder how all that is gonna play out.
I said it was wild speculation. Just some random thoughts. Things I'm interested in thinking about. *shrugs*

It's just bullshitting on a message board, guys. Just some weird thoughts. Not predictions. Just saying 'what if.' Trying to start a discussion about what it might look like if they go that direction.

Re: Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Particularly this point in regards to dropping his lightsaber while filming and seemingly tying it in to what we might experience with Obi Wan during the show. We gonna see a powerful goddam Jedi. Maybe
By this point, McGregor knows that regardless of what has and will happen on screen, this is one duel of the fates he cannot win. "I do remember I said, 'Please don't tell Hayden, because I used to give him such s--- every time he dropped his lightsaber.' All I can say is, it's been a while for Obi-Wan. He's not the man that we once remember. And if, indeed, it might have slipped out of his hand and rolled across the stage and into a ditch, it's only because he's not quite where he used to be. But it's coming back."

Re: Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
This is a solid point. But I think it's also possible the "he" they're looking for is the same dude who Reva pulls a saber on. Same dude, I suspect, we see hanging in the square.Strat wrote:However, i think they are hunting Obi Wan. "Where is he!" is in the trailer and that can be no other than Obi Wan.
If that's the case, the question is why? Is/was that dude a Jedi? Or just someone known to be hiding a Jedi?
There are some cool possibilities here. The most likely, to your point, is that "he" is Kenobi. I'm so pumped to see how it all shakes out.

Re: Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Also!
Do we think there's going to be any addressing of the age difference between this show and Ep 4 Obi-Wan? They certainly don't have to. But I wonder if there will either a big plot point or just a cringy/cheeky line somewhere.
Maybe Obi-Wan has to exert some kind of massive Force power (like Luke in TLJ) either to save someone or heal someone or something like that, and the effort ages him dramatically. Or maybe the fight with Vader does something to him. Or maybe it's really just 20 years in the twin dessert suns.
Man! I can't wait for this show.

Oh, man. I would love that. Would be a nice direct line to Luke utilizing that power that we didn't know really existed. Perhaps Obi wan's attempt is less intense.epilogue wrote:Also!

Obi Wan took Anakin's saber, right? So he'll have that already.....
