What is there to move forward without the articles? I get they want to just rewrite the rules on how all this is supposed to go but I don't think it works that way. A strong woman has power in this situation and it's driving them insane. Just keep it that way if all they want is a sham.

Pretty sure if most of us with at least average IQs flubbed something like that in such a big speech from such a position of power, we'd catch it and correct it. News people do it all the time.

The thing is, if you wouldn’t give any other politician bonus points for successfully reading a prepared statement, then you shouldn’t give it here. Either it is a creditable action, in which case everyone from Donald Rumsfeld to Lindsey Graham to Hillary Clinton deserve high praise, or its just a baseline skill for a person in higher office....in which case the sloppy errors are indeed more commendable than the achievements.
