They want a Reference from my last employer though and that’s gonna be a problem. We didn’t end on good terms at all. They were shafting me continuously and breaking the agreement we had on hours and I ended up walking out.

I have a bad (good?) habit of always thinking of people at work as potential references. It can be hard to please that many people all the time, and it might not be sustainable.

I wish I had the courage to tell her to hang up the phone and that making loud, long personal calls in an open space is unprofessional but I am a coward
