Flight home from LaGuardia was cancelled last night due to storms. Hundreds of flights cancelled last night and a bunch today. American sucks and said they didn't have anything until Wednesday. Booked a flight home on Delta this afternoon, let's try this again. Thankful to have my stepson here to be able to crash at his place.

Booked a flight home on Delta this afternoon, let's try this again. Thankful to have my stepson here to be able to crash at his place.

Last night, I was researching a twelve hour Dreamliner flight out of Melbourne that takes you over and around Antarctica, but my wife has no interest. While it’d be cool to say I’ve seen that ice block (before it’s gone), I guess it could get repetitive scenery wise. Maybe a cruise one day makes more sense - I think friends of my in laws did that a few years ago; I may pick their brains about it when I see them next.

There is a baboon in me . . . clambering-clawed . . . dog-faced . . . yawping a galoot's hunger . . . hairy under the armpits . . . here are the hawk-eyed hankering men . . . here are the blonde and blue-eyed women . . . here they hide curled asleep waiting . . . ready to snarl and kill . . . ready to sing and give milk . . . waiting—I keep the baboon because the wilderness says so.

There is an eagle in me and a mockingbird . . . and the eagle flies among the Rocky Mountains of my dreams and fights among the Sierra crags of what I want . . . and the mockingbird warbles in the early forenoon before the dew is gone, warbles in the underbrush of my Chattanoogas of hope, gushes over the blue Ozark foothills of my wishes—And I got the eagle and the mockingbird from the wilderness.

my wife and a friend are going to Venice, Italy tomorrow for 9 days for an art festival..Venice Biennale..

this will be my first time alone without the dog in about 11 years...I'm looking so forward to just sleeping and ordering from door dash and watching stupid tv
