Oh totes. It's a good cut. But I loved seeing in now, looking back. It would have been super awkward in the film. But now they can give us more info on how lightsabers are built and what makes them work.

It's telling that with all the shit Lucas shoehorned BACK into his movies with the SE, he didn't bother putting this in. Luke's introductin in Jedi is fantastic and this would have taken the air all the way out of that.

But it's still fun for a fan to see.

If it had been shot in a modern sense maybe Luke profile and silhouetted against the sky in the cave and no droids and just the lightsaber flashing on and cut then to the droids it could have been awesome. You know then whoever it is in is in trouble and he's on a mission.

I hope decent product continues to be put forth, and i assume that any strat meltdown will be of his own accord. I rather them just keep putting out interesting stories. If i get sick of them it will be my fault. I got burned out on all the super hero movies.

Han films or obi wan film or whatever..how do they keep it going when people are tired or reluctant to see loved characters rehashed but same public are hard sells on new characters in new trilogies?

I dont think catering to the super obsessive die hard idiot star war fans is the best thing to do. Just put out good stories about star wars and most will be thrilled.

I think the first thing you have to do is drop the saga after Ep 9. Let that be a "Skywalker" trilogy of trilogies. And then move on.

They shouldn't do any other trilogies after that for a long, long, long time. If ever. They should do stand alone anthology films, and only single anthology films, no trilogies.

Expand the universe. Stop sticking with the characters and timeframe that we already know. Rogue One is a perfect bridge. Han Solo, fine, if it's one movie.

Then start to spread out. If you're going to tell more stories in the saga timeline, keep focusing on minor and/or unknown characters.

And DON'T expand to two movies a year. Keep it one a year, tops. One every two years would be better.

The profit can come from the merch, the books, the comics, and the theme park.
