Billy attempts to make it about himself every 10 seconds, but still well worth a watch. The DeLeo bros are the shit.

Re: The Stone Temple Pilots Thread
That was actually quite hard to listen to towards the end. The DeLeo bros are clearly just thankful that they get to play music for a living and Billy is all "bUt DoN't YoU fEeL liKe It'S sOmE kInD oF rEbElLiOn!?"
He's insufferable. This made me respect STP even more, because they're very realistic and chill dudes. And they've been through a lot. Also, I laughed at Dean getting to play with a bunch of legacy artists like Gibbons while Billy says no one asks him to come and jam. I wonder why.

Yeah, that was pretty rough. I'm pretty sure that for every "yeah" uttered by one of the DeLeos, Billy monologued for another two minutes. I love the guy's music, but man.
I gotta say though -- I love how well-regarded STP seem to be these days. I think they've been re-appraised more than any of the major bands I grew up listening to, and it makes me so happy.

So many standouts though. I honestly can't pick a favorite STP song.
Seven Caged Tigers, Adhesive, Hello It's Late, And So I Know, etc.

All of these songs are probably in my STP top ten. "Kitchenware and Candybars" too. And "Atlanta."Buby wrote:So many standouts though. I honestly can't pick a favorite STP song.

With the exception of a couple of tracks, Core sounds like STP before discovering their own sound.

I like Core a lot, but it definitely suffered in hindsight after the next three records. In real time, though, I thought it was really solid.

My pick is "Vasoline". Which is a basic bish answer, but that song is perfect. I don't make the rules.
